China Daily paid more than $4.6 million to the Washington Post and almost $6 million to the Wall Street Journal as advertising and printing charges.The document filed with the U.S. Justice Department by China Daily unveils that they paid almost $19 million to some newspapers as the printing and publishing charges of their advertisements. An amount of more than $4.6 million to the Washington Post and $6 million to the Wall Street Journal was paid by China Daily from 2016 November to April 2020. Both the newspapers have published the paid supplements of China Daily, which is called China Watch. China Daily had also paid for advertising in some other newspapers that includes The New York Times, Foreign Policy, The Des Moines Register, and CQ-Roll Call.
