At the initial stage of Rapid antigen tests in Kolkata's Chetla on July 30, 2020, 10 out of 50 tested positive for COVID-19.The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has started conducting rapid antigen tests in ward number 82 of the Chetla area in south Kolkata. State minister and Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) administrative board chairman Firhad Hakim introduced the service and said that 50 people had undergone the tests. As of August 1, nineteen positives out of 88 suspects were identified. Those who had contracted the disease were sent to the health department. The number of patients who tested positive for COVID-19 might increase with more antigen tests.
