Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has condemned those who perpetrated violence during the protests that broke out this year after the death of George Floyd. While commenting on Portland's protests, Joe Biden claimed that those who violate the law need to be held accountable. Biden claimed that those people "should be arrested — found, arrested, and tried." Biden repeated the statement in his speech in Pittsburgh in August. "I want to be very clear about all of this: Rioting is not protesting. Looting is not protesting. Setting fires is not protesting. None of this is protesting. It's lawlessness, plain and simple. And those who do it should be prosecuted," Biden had asserted.
