He was the younger brother of the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump. He was the youngest of Fred and Mary Anne Trump's five children and was born two years after his brother Donald Trump. According to recent reports, Robert had been admitted to the intensive-care unit of Manhattan's Mount Sinai Hospital in June 2020. On August 15, 2020, Robert Trump passed away at the age of 71. The cause of death is unknown. Donald Trump announced Robert's death with an official statement and said that he was a best friend and would be greatly missed. President Trump visited his brother in the hospital a day before his death.
