Democratic Party candidate Joe Biden has taken a good lead against President Donald Trump including some of the key swing states.Democratic Party nominee Joe Biden is challenging the Republican president in the 2020 presidential elections held on November 3, 2020. More than 100 million Americans had voted this year through mail-in ballots, while some choose to vote directly on the election date, doubling the total from 2016.

Donald Trump and Joe Biden each need 270 electoral college votes to win the presidency.

The latest results show that Biden has won 253 votes against Donald Trump's 214. He has eclipsed Trump in Wisconsin and Michigan that were the two crucial midwestern battleground states, overtook Trump in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Arizona where Trump had won in 2016 against Hillary Clinton in 2016. Even though Trump had a good lead in the initial stages, counting the mail-in ballots turned the tables in favor of Joe Biden. Democrats had urged their voters to vote by mail due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while President Trump had urged his voters to go out and vote in large numbers on voting day.

The counting is still underway and the final results are yet to be declared.
