Reddy stated that the Telangana Rashtriya Samithi(TRS) made false promises and betrayed the youth, which enthused the audience. The Indian Express reported Reddy criticized Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for failing to deliver on promises made during the 2009 elections.

In a general body gathering on October 25 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, TRS will elect a new president. Nominations must be received by October 22, scrutinized on October 23, and withdrawals must be sent by October 24. Following that, on October 30, a by-election will be held in Telangana's Huzurabad Assembly constituency, reports the Times of India.
