Trump: USA is going to be at 84 million tests, and next would be India with about 50 million less tests.

The US conducted over 96 million tests for COVID-19 till Sept.11.

The US conducted over 96 million tests for COVID-19 till Sept.11.US President Donald Trump on Sept. 15 hailed the country for conducting 84 million tests for COVID-19, saying, “When you see our testing, we’re going to be at 84 million tests. And next would be India with about 50 million less testing programs, far greater.” The statement made by the President is partly true.

As per data released by scientific online publication Our World In Data, the US conducted 96.79 million tests for the virus till Sept.11, whereas India conducted 55.19 million tests till the same date.

However, the difference in the number of tests conducted by the two countries is 41.60, which is less than 50 million. Therefore, Trump’s statement can be termed as partly true.
