Articles by The Guardian and Al Jazeera reported that most of the countries have closed their borders due to the situation of spreading of COVID-19.Al Jazeera has reported that many countries have been trying to reduce the coronavirus pandemic by country lockdowns, shutting down the airports, and imposing travel restrictions within the country. It detailed that such countries had suspended international flights and have banned travellers to and from the country, whereas some of them made travel restrictions only for non-citizens.

The Guardian and The New York Times reported that the countries advised a self-quarantine period of 14 days for the travellers who came from the COVID-19 affected countries and that some countries had banned those travellers themselves.

The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
