The government has extended the bid deadline for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited to September 30, 2020.The Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) has issued a notice to extend the date for submitting the Expression of Interest(EOI) for Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL).

The government had invited the bidders for strategic disinvestment in BPCl as it ought to sell its entire stake of 52.98 percent in this oil and marketing company, which will not include BPCL’s 61.65 percent stake in Numaligarh Refinery Limited.

According to the Preliminary Information Memorandum(PIM) issued from the government, the EOI submission dates were extended from July 31 to September 30, 2020, in the view of COVID-19 pandemic and requests received from the Interested Bidders (IB).
