
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation started COVID-19 tests on hawkers, shopowners, helpers, and transporters in the crowded markets on Nov. 16.
The authorities started shortlisting the crowded markets and hawkers and had set up ten free testing centers in every civic ward (24), and about 12,000 to 14,000 samples are expected to test per day. He further added that police personnel, other frontline workers, all catering staff, security guards, and health workers of all medical facilities would be a part of the testing drive in the weeks to follow.
