Metro passengers in Banglore will have to use smart cards as tokens will not be sold.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bangalore metro passengers will have to use smart cards instead of tokens.The Bengaluru Namma Metro would resume its services in the purple line on September 7 and the green line on September 9, 2020. The operational hours of the metro services have been reduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. BMRCL (Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited) Managing director Ajay Seth clarified that only passengers with the metro cards would be allowed to travel, and no token would be sold in the metro stations.
