Donald Trump is staging a coup in the U.S.

There are no pieces of valid evidence to suggest that President Donald Trump was attempting a coup to reclaim his presidency.

There are no pieces of valid evidence to suggest that President Donald Trump was attempting a coup to reclaim his presidency. The 2020 U.S. Presidential elections held on Nov. 3, 2020, depicted the Democratic challenger Joe Biden as a winner. Biden's administration will take office after Inauguration Day on Jan. 20, 2021.

President Donald Trump and his aides have repeatedly claimed widespread voter fraud, making accusations about the various swing states' voting process.

Trump has filed a dozen lawsuits in multiple states to secure a second term in the white house by overturning the election results. Most of the complaints have been either withdrawn or dismissed by the federal court.

The recent allegations came in when a pro-Trump mob attacked the Congressmen at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington DC on Jan. 6, 2021. Trump supporters had reached at the building in Washington to protest Congress's formal approval of Biden's victory in the elections. Some Republican lawmakers were also raising objections to the results that were abruptly halted by the mob.

Both President Trump and Vice president Pence have condemned the violence at the capitol and have urged the public to maintain law and order in the state. Later, Congress declared Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 presidential election by certifying the election results.

However, apart from incidents of violence protesting Biden's election victory certification by Trump supporters, any credible evidence suggesting an attempted coup is not available.
