Certain Indian states have extended lockdown till the end of August 31, 2020.The number of people infected with COVID-19 has been on the rise since the outbreak began in India. The Union government has issued new guidelines for easing lockdowns, allowing the resumption of all services except those in the containment zones. Several states like Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Nagaland, and Jharkhand have extended statewide lockdown till the end of August. The Bihar government extended lockdown till August 16 to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
