Russia has temporarily halted the delivery of the S-400 missile defense system to China.

The first marine transport ship headed to China in July 2019. China became the first international buyer of Russia’s most advanced S-400 surface-to-air missile systems. Russia signed a contract with China on the delivery of two regimental sets of S-400 in 2014.

According to some reports, Russia has allegedly suspended the delivery of S-400 air defense systems to China. Citing news websites Sohu, UAWire reported, that this time, Russia announced the postponement of the delivery of missiles for the Chinese S-400 system.

However, there is no official confirmation about the suspension or delivery of S-400 missiles from both Russian and Chinese Ministry of National Defense.
