The Kashmiri Police have recovered the dead body of a 37-year-old man from the Jhelum river.

Muzaffar Ahmad Rather's body was retrieved from the Jehlum river in the South Kashmir district of Pulwama.A 37-year-old man's body was pulled out from river Jhelum in the Pampore area of Pulwama, a district in South Kashmir on July 7, 2020. Station House Officer(SHO) Pampore Manzoor Ahmad said that some sand diggers at Bujbagh Patalbagh area of Pampore discovered a dead body in Jhelum and informed the concerned police station. The police identified him as Muzaffar Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Monghama village of Pulwama. He was a driver by profession and was missing for the last three days as per the record. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
