
No woman has been the administrator of NASA since the agency was found in 1958.
According to the NASA website, no woman has acted as the agency's administrator since it was founded in 1958. The first administrator of NASA was Dr. T. Keith Glennan, who served from Aug. 19, 1958, till Jan. 20, 1961, and Daniel Goldin held the post for the most extended term for nearly ten years (Nov. 19, 2001 - Dec. 21, 2001)
NASA's chief, Jim F Bridenstine, was appointed by former President Donald Trump as the 13th Administrator of NASA in Apr. 2018. However, Bridenstine resigned from his position on Jan. 20, 2021
On Jan. 20, 2021, Steve Jurczyk became NASA's acting administrator. Jurczyk was the agency's associate administrator since May 2018, and he has been working at NASA since 1988.
