Filings from the Federal Election Committee (FEC) show that Trump's reelection campaign funds have paid for his private companies' expensesAccording to Forbes magazine, President Trump has continued to shift money from his campaign-donors to his private corporations. For example, in July of this year, the Trump Tower Commercial LLC accepted $38,000 for rent from the president's campaign donations. Moreover, since Trump took over office, the Trump Tower Commercial LLC has received $1.5 million from his campaign. The Trump Corporation has also received $8000 in July for what has been described as "Legal & IT consulting" by the campaign filings. Similarly, donations have been accepted at the Trump Restaurants LLC and the Trump Hotel Collection. The Forbes article mentions that the Trump Organization has ignored requests for comments, instead they have released a broad statement claiming that the campaign complies with all FEC regulations.
