Her death was confirmed by Ron Malka, Israeli Ambassador to India, who spoke to Ms. Santosh's family to express his condolences on behalf of the Israeli government. Soumya worked as a caretaker and stayed in the southern Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon for seven years.
