The NCJRS report and FBI's investigation reveals that Jimmy Hoffa had disappeared mysteriously in 1975 which refutes the claim of him being found. On July 30, 1975, Jimmy Hoffa disappeared from a restaurant in suburban Detroit under circumstances that have never been fully determined.

Meanwhile, the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS) had reported that Hoffa was kidnapped and his body was never found.

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had published an approved news copy of Washington Post dated 31 July 1982 which said that under Michigan law, Hoffa can be declared as legally dead and his case remained a mystery.

The Detroit News on 22 November 2019 had reported that Dan Moldea, who has authored a book on Hoffa's' said that he had located the burial site of Jimmy Hoffa who disappeared in Metro Detroit. He said that Hoffa's body was disposed of in a former landfill and searches were conducted by the FBI. The report mentioned that Hoffa was declared legally dead in the year 1982.

Earlier on 19 June 2013, the Reuters had reported that FBI conducted searches for the remains of former Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa in the Detroit area. It quoted FBI’s Detroit office head, Robert Foley as saying that they did not uncover any evidence relevant to the investigation on James Hoffa.

The above evidence suggests that Jimmy Hoffa's body has never been recovered, and searches are ongoing, and the cause of death is unknown. Whereas we did not find a report by CNN saying that Hoffa's body was recovered and death caused due to coronavirus.
