The walls of the historic Golconda fort in Hyderabad were collapsed due to heavy rains in the city.The wall in front of the Srijagadambika temple inside the Golconda fort was collapsed due to continuous rainfall in the city. Last week, some portions of Majnu Burj in the Naya Qila area of Golconda Fort had collapsed. On October 17, a team of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) officials inspected damaged portions of the fort and took stock of the scene to prevent further damages. Anuradha Reddy from Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage said that the fort's staff is limited. The fort is a vast expanse of land and multiple structures that need constant monitoring.
