Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala is dead.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village of Mansa district, Punjab, by unidentified assailants over gang rivalry.

In fact: Moose Wala, Punjabi singer and Congress leader, was shot dead in his car (SUV) on May 29, 2022, in Jawaharke village of Mansa district, by unidentified assailants. The Punjab Police suspect gang rivalry as the reason behind Sidhu Moose Wala's killing. Punjab Director General of Police Viresh Kumar Bhawra said Sidhu Moose left his house with two people at around 4:30 pm. When he reached the village Jawaharke, two unknown cars intercepted his vehicle and fired at him. He was brought dead to the Civil Hospital in Mansa. DGP noted that Lawrence Bishnoi Group and Canada-based singer Goldy Brar were allegedly involved in the killing. The Hindustan Times quoted the Former Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa stating that Moose Wala's aid was accused of having a role in killing Akali leader Middukhera in 2021. Further, the incident occurred a day after the Punjab government removed his protection. Additionally, Singer Mika Sing said that Moose Wala received death threats from gangsters for extortion purposes, as reported by India Today. The body of the Punjabi singer was taken to farmland in his native village on May 31, 2022, on a tractor-trailer amid a huge crowd. His family has decided to perform the last rites in Mansa district's Moosa village on their ancestral agricultural land. Following the death, many people on Twitter criticized the Aam Aadmi Party-led government in Punjab for withdrawing the singer's security and are calling for the resignation of CM Bhagwant Mann. Finally: Sidhu Moose Wala was reportedly shot in relation to a gang rivalry and was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital. Hence, we are marking this claim as true.
