Telangana's anti-corruption bureau (ACB) arrested Tahsildar E Balaraju Nagaraju with a bribe amount of ₹ 1.10 crores.Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have caught Keesara's Tehsildar Nagaraj Erva Balaraju Nagaraju while taking a bribe of ₹ 1 crores. Police officials arrested Nagarju and the other four members on August 14 for accepting a bribe over a land deal in Rampally village on the city outskirts. The officials have revealed that former Keesara Tahsildar invested his bribe money in lands and other immovable assets in the names of NRIs, who functioned as the benames. Further, they said that the Tahsildar would often settle the land disputes in return for generous sums of money. Later Nagaraju was lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison in judicial remand. On October 14, he was found hanging from a ventilator inside his jail cell. Police officials said that the Nagaraju used his towel to commit suicide. They shifted him to the dispensary, where doctors declared him brought dead.
