The Clay Lacy Aviation company received $27 million grant through theTreasury Department but cannot verify whether Trump had a role in it. Clay Lacy Aviation, a private jet charter company owned by a Republican donor had been approved a government grant of $27 million as part of the CARES Act, a $2 trillion federal stimulus package aimed at supporting jobs during the coronavirus crisis. The Treasury department runs the program and makes payments from the Fund to States and eligible units based on certain criteria that were set by the U.S.Congress. Meanwhile, other private carriers too received the money as part of the program. But the role of Trump in payout cannot be verified.
