Prabhakar Sail alleged Sameer Wankhede's payoff in Aryan Khan's drug case.

Sail filed an affidavit claiming to have heard that Sameer Wankhede will be paid ₹8 crores in a drug case, but there is no evidence for his statement.

Sail filed an affidavit claiming to have heard that Sameer Wankhede will be paid ₹8 crores in a drug case, but there is no evidence for his statement. On the Cordelia Cruise ship's journey to Goa on October 2, 2021, an NCB crew intercepted an alleged narcotics party. So far, several people have been detained in connection with the probe, including a Bollywood actor, Shahrukh Khan's son Aryan Khan.

One of the nine witnesses in the alleged narcotics case, Prabhakar Sail, stated that on October 3, he overheard another NCB witness, KP Gosavi, and Sam D'Souza discussing settling for ₹18 crores deal. Sail alleged that they mentioned that Sameer Wankhede, the Mumbai Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB), should be given ₹8 crores. Sail further said he witnessed Shah Rukh Khan's manager Pooja Dadlani, Gosavi, and D'Souza chatting for roughly 15 minutes inside a vehicle, reports NDTV.

Sail, who claims to be Gosavi's bodyguard, said he received two bags with ₹38 lakh and, on Gosavi's orders, delivered them over to D'Souza. He further said that he was there at the cruise boarding area when the NCB requested that he identify the passengers. He went on to add that at the anti-drug organization, he was asked to sign some blank documents.

NCB sources said this allegation against the officer is intended to tarnish the agency's reputation. Instead of approaching the Honourable Court, Sail is addressing it on social media.

On October 24, Wankhede also disputed the charge and petitioned Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale for protection from unjustly implicating him in the case, and unknown individuals had falsely framed him.

The Indian Express reported that Wankhede stated that Deputy Director General(DDG) Mutha Ashok Jain had previously forwarded the case to the NCB's Director General(DG) for action. According to Wankhede's letter, highly respected public officials made threats of jail and dismissal against him on public media reports Times of India.

NDTV reports that Senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut posted a new video on Twitter, where Gosavi and Aryan were sitting together inside the NCB office. In the video, Aryan is speaking on the phone, which Gosavi held. The police have been asked by Raut to "take cognizance" of Sail's affidavit.

The claim is unverifiable since Sail claims to have heard a deal, but the NCB officer disputes the accusation. In this scenario, more investigation is required by the law enforcement agencies.
