KFC has announced that it's 64-year-old 'Finger-Lickin Good' slogan will be paused from advertisements because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The complainants considered the advert was irresponsible because they thought it encouraged behavior that might increase the chances of COVID-19 spreading. So the fast-food chain has admitted it will need to move on temporarily, from the tagline it has used for more than six decades, releasing new images of advertising posters and packaging with the words blurred and pixellated.
The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation. For reliable advice on COVID-19 including symptoms, prevention and available treatment, please refer to the World Health Organisation or your national healthcare authority.
