Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has lost as many league games at Old Trafford in 2020-2021 as Jose Mourinho did in the entire 16/17 and 17/18 seasons combined.

Manchester United under Jose Mourinho lost just 2 home league matches in two seasons, Under Solskjaer they have already lost 2 home games in 2020-21.

Manchester United under Jose Mourinho lost just 2 home league matches in two seasons, Under Solskjaer they have already lost 2 home games in 2020-21.Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho had an excellent premier league record at Old Trafford in his first two seasons in charge. In the 2016-17 season, United never lost a home league game, while in the following season (2017-18) his team lost two premier league matches at home. The first home defeat came in a 2-1 loss to arch-rivals Manchester City on Dec.10, 2017, while the second home defeat of the season came in a 1-0 loss to West Brom on April 15, 2018.

Mourinho did not have a good start to his third season at the Club and was sacked midway through December 2018. Former Manchester United player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was made the caretaker manager for the remainder of the season. Solskjaer became United's full-time manager from the 2019-20 season and had a decent first season in charge. His second season (2020-21), however, did not have a good start. Manchester United are currently in the 10th spot in the premier league after 8 games with just 13 points. United have lost three games and drawn one. Two of those losses came at home against Tottenham and Arsenal, respectively.

The two home losses in the premier league, this season under Solskjaer, equals the number of home games United lost under Jose Mourinho in the whole of 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons combined.
