There's insufficient publicly available evidence at the current time to verify this claim accurately.Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal stated that Mumbai does not need stringent containment measures or 100 percent lockdown. Unlike other cities such as Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan-Dombivli, Mira-Bhayandar, Mumbai does not require strict lockdown measures. Mumbai is getting around 1,200 cases daily, and only 150 to 200 of them are symptomatic. Mumbai is conducting over 6,500 tests daily. He added that the civic body would try to bring down the cases between 500 and 1,000 per day, in the coming days.

However, there are no actual reports to prove that 80 percent of the COVID-19 patients in Mumbai had a travel history.
