Unidentified people vandalized a mosque in a village in the East Champaran district of Bihar during a victory procession of BJP's win. The victory procession was taken out by the supporters of BJP candidate Pawan Kumar Jaiswal when the group of people started pelting stones at the mosque. Mazhar Alam, a villager, alleged that the people raised slogans and the mosque was partially damaged in stone-pelting during the clash, in which four persons were injured.
Abhay Kumar, the SHO of Dhaka police station, said that the incident took place after a scuffle took place over raising slogans. He said only a few people were in the procession, and many joined later, and the matter got escalated as people went on a rampage. The police have registered an FIR and probing into the case.
