Mumbai police have arrested the chairman and a member of a Ghatkopar housing society for organizing a samosa party.

Other attendees to the party have been booked as well.

The persons arrested were identified as Rahul Sanghvi(chairman) and Jethalal Dedhia, who had organised the party. They were booked under the Indian Penal Code along with relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act for violating the lockdown guidelines but currently have been released on bail.

The Mumbai police tweeted images from the party and called it an irresponsible plan which disregarded the norms of lockdown and social distancing.
