The order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs confirms that special trains will be operating under certain standard guidelines.The Union Home Secretary on 11 May 2020 issued Standard Operating Protocols(SOP) for the people travelling by train after Indian Railways announced they will run 15 pairs of passenger trains with limited stops from May 12, 2020. It stated that only those persons who have confirmed e-tickets will be allowed to travel by train. The SOP also included that all the passengers will be screened and only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to enter or board the train.
