Rhea's counsel argued that the FIR was not connected to the case, and Rhea was being victimized.

In the course of action, the Supreme Court asked for brief written notes from all the parties, including Rhea's lawyer, Sushant Singh Rajput's family lawyer, the counsel representing Maharashtra Govt, and the Solicitor General of India. The court reserved the judgment and fixed the next hearing on 13 August.
