A private hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut was caught selling fake COVID-19-negative reports for a price of ₹2,500.A viral video showed a hospital staff member promising that he can arrange for fake COVID-19 reports for ₹2,500. It also showed a group of people paying him ₹2,000 with the assurance that they would pay the balance amount on receiving the falsified results.

Meerut District Magistrate Anil Dhingra confirmed the incident and said the hospital's license had been suspended. He also added that the place had been sealed.
