Amitabh Bachchan, along with his son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, granddaughter Aaradhya have also tested positive for the virus. In contrast, his wife Jaya Bachchan has tested negative. Amitabh and Abhishek, both having mild symptoms, have been admitted to the hospital, while Aishwarya and Aaradhya would be self-quarantining at home. The actors are at the Respiratory Isolation Unit at the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai and undergoing various tests.

Amitabh Bachchan requested all those who have been in proximity to him in the last ten days, to get themselves tested for COVID-19.

ANI report citing the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) revealed that 30 people working at the Bachchan bungalows had been tested for coronavirus, and their results are awaited. Bachchan's bungalows have been sealed after proper sanitization, and all residents have been placed under a 14-day quarantine.
