A report on COVID-19 shows that only Maharashtra has the highest deaths and news reports say people from both states had attended the Tablighi Jamaat.The COVID-19 report tweeted by Maharashtra Medical Education and Drugs Department shows that Maharashtra's death toll is 160 and Gujarat's death toll is 26 as of 14 April 2020. Madhya Pradesh and Delhi have higher death tolls than Gujarat. New coverage by India Today states that people from Maharashtra have attended the Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi's Nizamuddin area. Some of them tested positive for coronavirus and deaths due to it has also been reported. A video by ABP News states that people from Gujarat had attended the Tablighi Jamaat too. Amongst those infected in Maharashtra and Gujarat, there are many people who had attended the Tablighi Jamaat. The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to a lot of potentially dangerous misinformation.
