Anonymous sources told entertainment media outlets that Nathan Fillion made Stana Katic cry on the set, but she has not commented on it.The American crime-comedy-drama television series aired on ABC for eight seasons from Mar. 9, 2009, to May 16, 2016, starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.

In Apr. 2016, Us Weekly magazine reported that according to an anonymous source, Katic would cry on the set because Fillion used to bully her, and she would go to her dressing room crying. The source also claimed that many people who worked on the show did not like Fillion. On Apr. 19, 2016, he had tweeted about her absence in the consecutive season, and he wished her well with no reference to the rumor. Deadline reported that Katic was let go after season 8 because of budget reasons and claimed that she was unwilling to renegotiate. The show was canceled in May 2016.

There has been no direct or official confirmation by the showrunners or the cast on the story ever since.
