Currently, there is insufficient evidence to verify whether the Palghar district administration has finalized the draft plan for land acquisition.Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail (MA-HSR) project is a government-approved project that connects Mumbai and Ahmedabad's cities, which is implemented by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).

The route of MA-HSR will be pass through two states, Maharashtra and Gujarat and one Union Territory (UT), Dadra and Nagar Haveli, of the Union of India. The alignment will pass through three districts (Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar) in Maharashtra and eight districts (Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Kheda, and Ahmedabad) in Gujarat and DNH.

The district administration has finalized a plan regarding the rehabilitation and resettlement of 2177 families to improve basic facilities and also work on compensation to be paid to those who have lost their land on this route.
