14 new corona patients have been confirmed in Chhattisgarh, and the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 59 as on 8 May 2020.

Statement by TS Singh Deo, state Health Minister confirms that 14 migrants tested positive for COVID-19 after returning to Chhattisgarh.Health Minister of Chhattisgarh, TS Singh Deo said that out of all the migrant workers who have returned from different states, 14 have tested positive for COVID-19 in Chhattisgarh. He also added that among the migrant workers who have tested positive, 6 are from Kabirdham district, 8 from Durg district.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur on their Twitter handle stated that among 14 new COVID-19 positive cases in Durg and Kabirdham, 12 are male and 2 are female moreover the patients were shifted to AIIMS, Raipur.

According to data available on the website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the COVID-19 count in Chhattisgarh is 59 and 36 people have been discharged on 8 May 2020.
