Tanzanian President John Magufuli has questioned the reliability of the COVID-19 testing kits after a goat and a fruit tested positive for the infection.

He also revealed that several non-human samples sent to the National lab tested positive for COVID-19, including samples from a Papaya, a goat and a sheep. Reports suggested that John Magufuli had instructed Tanzanian security forces to check the quality of the kits. Thus, they had randomly obtained several non-human samples labelled with names of humans with fake names and age.
