There is insufficient evidence to prove that Ludwig van Beethoven was a black man.Ludwig van Beethoven, the famous 18th-century pianist, and composer, was the son of Johann Van, a white German man, and Maria Magdalena Keverich, a Moorish woman. The Moorish people were dark-skinned Muslims, and his mother was born in and grew up in the Moorish territory. He was often referred to as a black man by his friends, and people said that he had brown skin, black frizzy-woolly hair, a thick-wide nose, and a short neck. His father was half-Flemish with Belgian roots and also belonged to the Moorish territory. Beethoven has been depicted as a white male with brunette colored hair in drawings, paintings, and illustrations all over the world. Some reports claim he would wear white powder on his face to hide his ethnic origin when he would step out in public.

However, there is no evidence to prove Ludwig van Beethoven was a black man.
