Students were seen cheering and celebrating Pakistan's victory against the Indian cricket team in the T20 world cup. Police said they are trying to identify the ringleaders who allegedly wooed other students to join them. The group also raised slogans and burst firecrackers, as seen in the viral video. The students belonged to Government Medical College (GMC) and Sher-i-Kashmir Institute in Srinagar. Reports suggest that the students will be barred from getting government jobs and denied passports/ documents if found guilty under the UAPA.
