Founders of Phantom Fireworks, the company behind 4th of July 2019 fireworks are registered Democrats and donated heavily to Democratic candidates. The founders of Phantom Fireworks, one of the companies President Donald Trump announced would be contributing to the Fourth of July military parade in 2019 are registered Democrats. Bruce Zoldan, the CEO and President of the company, his brother Alan who serves as executive vice president and cousin Jerry Bostocky who serves as vice president for sales, have together contributed almost $110,000 to various federal campaigns since 2010. Approximately $86,000 of the total donations were reserved for Democratic candidates, and 92% of the donations came from Bruce Zoldan. Bruce, Alan, and Jerry are all registered Democrats, although Alan and Jerry did vote in Ohio's Republican primary in 2016.

The other major donor, Fireworks by Grucci, has always put on a show for U.S. presidents from Reagan to Trump, with the exception of Barack Obama, who didn’t have fireworks at his inaugurations. Fireworks by Grucci takes in a lot of cash from the U.S. Government, taking in almost $131 million in government contracts since 2008.
