A tweet by ANI and details provided on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare supports the statement.According to ANI, West Bengal confirmed its first positive case of COVID-19 in an 18-year-old man, who returned from England. The man had started showing coronavirus symptoms and later was kept in isolation.

Details on the MOHFW website also confirms that one positive case of COVID-19 had been confirmed in West Bengal.

However, as it is an ongoing issue the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases may increase. But, as of 19 March 2020, West Bengal had reported one positive case of Coronavirus.
