It also ranked it mixed factually and borderline questionable based on low sourcing and the spreading of conspiracy theories that later need to be retracted after being widely shared. Further, Fox News is deemed a questionable source based on numerous failed fact-checks by hosts and pundits; however, straight news reporting is generally reliable.

Fox News promotes conservative opinions of the Republican Party. The organization has been accused of misrepresenting facts. Fox News' media bias favors the Republican Party, particularly in regards to fact-check choice. The outlet has fact-checked some of Trump's statements but was regularly held up as an exemplar of a partisan media establishment.

A survey from Pew Research Center said that while Democrats in the U.S. turn to and place their trust in various media outlets for political news, no other source comes close to matching the appeal of Fox News for Republicans. Fox News has been alleged by political figures of having Republican Party bias in their news coverage and perpetuating more general views of a conservative bias.

However, Fox News has publicly denied it, stating that the newsroom reporters provide separate, neutral reporting.
