Ajay Devgn donated Rs.15 crores for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

There is no evidence to support the claim that actor Ajay Devgn has donated Rs. 15 crores to construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

There is no evidence to support the claim that actor Ajay Devgn has donated Rs. 15 crores to construct the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The claim that actor Ajay Devgn has announced a donation of Rs 15 crores for Ram Temple's construction in Ayodhya is baseless.

Soon after Devgn's movie 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior's' release on Jan. 10, 2020, several rumors started making rounds on social media, claiming that Devgn will donate the first-day collection after his film hits the box office.

The movie did very well and made Rs 14.50 crore net at the box-office on the very first day, the Times of India reported. Though the film was expected to cross Rs 16 cr on day one, it didn't do great in the North and East.

Though the actor thanked his fans for watching the movie on Twitter on Jan. 11, he did not speak about donation on any social media platform.

Also, by Google-searching the keywords' Ajay Devgn' and 'donations,' we did find several news reports talking about donations done by the actor in the past; however, none of them were related to the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Also, no such announcement has been made by the state government.

Therefore, there is no evidence stating that Devgn has donated Rs 15 crores for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
