Actor Macaulay Culkin has responded in support of some social media posts calling for the Trump scene's removal from the 1992 film Home Alone 2.In the movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Donald Trump appears in a cameo role as the character Kevin McCallister portrayed by Macaulay Culkin, asks him for directions to The Plaza hotel's lobby. The movie director Chris Columbus told the Insider that Trump, who owned the Plaza Hotel at that time, bullied his way into the movie.

Between the two weeks of January 2021, 'Home Alone 2' was trending on Twitter as fans offered suggestions about who should replace the Trump cameo. Culkin responded to a viral tweet calling for an appeal to replace Trump's cameo digitally. Culkin wrote in response "Sold" to the digital replacement idea. He also responded "Bravo" to another Twitter user who posted a video showing Trump edited out of the movie.
