The U.S. has called out the Chinese aggression on India in their new Defense Policy Bill.

The defense policy bill passed by the US Congress has called out China's military aggression against India along the LAC.Both the houses passed the $740 billion policy bill National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which President Donald Trump has threatened to veto as he raised the concern that China is the biggest winner in the defense bill. The wide-ranging bill authorizes aid to military programs and construction.

It includes a resolution drafted by Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, who urged the Chinese government to end its military aggression against India along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). China and India have been locked in a military standoff in eastern Ladakh along LAC since May without any resolution despite many rounds of talks. The NDAA expresses the sense of Congress on cross-border violence between India and China and territorial claims of Beijing. Further, it mentions that the dispute resolution should happen through existing diplomatic mechanisms and refrain from attempting to settle disputes through coercion or force.
