There are no such news reports that Honorable Home Minister Amit Shah has taken up the EPS 95 issue.The EPS-95 pensioners' had called off their indefinite hunger strike after the central government agreed to protest senior citizens' demands on December 7, 2018. Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Gangwar met with the protesting EPS-95 pensioners and promised to discuss their pension hike request with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. A pension committee recommended that the government increase the minimum pension to ₹ 2,000 from ₹ 1,000.

In March 2020, according to the Finance Ministry replying to a query in Rajya Sabha, Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur stated that the government had fixed minimum pension at ₹ 1000 per month under the Employees Pension Scheme 1995. The government has not decided to increase the minimum pension amount under EPS 1995.

On June 1, 2020, Employees Provident Fund Organization released ₹ 868 crore pension and ₹ 105 crore arrear to restore a pension's commuted value. The government has accepted one of the long-standing workers' demands to restore pension value after 15 years. Earlier, there was no provision to recover commuted pension, and the pensioners continued to receive reduced assistance.

However, there are no official reports to show that Shah took EPS 95 issue.
