He said that there is a lot of misunderstanding about the BJP party in Tamil Nadu, and awareness is necessary.

On Twitter, Annamalai thanked everyone for participating in the Aravakurichi Assembly constituency nomination as a BJP party candidate. He also thanked Tejasvi Surya for being with him on March 18, 2021, the nomination day. He also mentioned, "I'm a candidate for common people & to symbolize that I went in a cycle to file my nomination."Annamalai will be contesting his first-ever Assembly election in Aravakurichi on April 6, 2021.
