Further, D Shashi Kumar, General Secretary Associated Managements of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka said that the commencement of academic year for 2020-21 would be only after July 2020, because even if the crisis is settled by June end. The experts, academicians and private school management representatives in Karnataka stated that the academic year will begin only from August for 2020-21.

A video uploaded by the Public TV on its verified YouTube account also estimates that the schools were going to be opened only in July or August due to the nation-wide lockdown. The academic year 2020-21 had postponed, with examinations, evaluations, admissions, and procurements of books and uniforms have stopped.
