Despite an anonymous army official statement who stated that it was an army unit meeting with a Veteran. There are no other credible reports.

Since November 2020, Indian farmers have opposed the government's three agriculture laws for almost ten months. Several incidents occurred during the protests, and interventions resulted in incorrect or misleading statements and information.

On October 9, 2021, a video supposedly depicted that the Indian personnel are along with the farmers in a protest and raised slogans of the peasant movement "Long live farmers laborer unit'' (translated the Hindi version). The video was shared to allege that the Punjab regiment soldiers were standing with the civilians and protesting.

On October 10, ANI tweeted that the Indian Army officials had told them that the video was fake. Further, the official informed, "Ex-servicemen of the unit had arranged tea for the serving personnel while they were moving from one location to another."

We could not find any credible source to support the claim on researching the video and the text. There are tweets from individuals refuting the video; however, the authenticity is unknown.

Although ANI claims to have a quote from the Indian Army, no other direct statement or source corroborates the incident until the date of writing. Hence we mark the claim as unverifiable.
